Winter White

As soon as I saw this pretty sleeveless sweater at Madewell, I knew I had to have it. It's the perfect layering piece and can be worn throughout the Winter. We're having a really, really mild Winter (SO FAR) here on the East Coast. I've already worn this sweater with a lacy bralette underneath for a warm Fall day. I re-purposed the sweater for the office by adding a long sleeve shirt underneath, skinny black pants, and booties. A bold lip and long necklace completed the look. I also love how the sweater is a little longer in the back. This sweater would look just as cute with jeans and slip on sneakers for a casual Friday look.

Can you guys believe that Christmas is on TOMORROW?!?! I don't know about you, but I still have some SERIOUS shopping to do. Things have been quite crazy lately. I got engaged (!!!!) and I've been traveling like crazy for work. I'm so happy that things are calming down a little, and I'll be able to enjoy this holiday season!

If you need some inspiration on what to wear to the office this holiday season, some of my favorite holiday looks are - here, here, here, and here

Ask the Office Fashionista: Fancy Holiday Party

Here's a letter I received via email from one of my readers. If you're seeking fashion advice, click here to find out how to be featured! Check out past "Ask the Office Fashionista" questions here

Dear Office Fashionista,

I just know you will have the answer to this! I have been invited to an office holiday party. It is at a fancy restaurant. The problem is: I don't know what to wear! What look will be appropriate for a work event, but also fun and festive for this time of year? I can't wait to see your ideas! Thank you so much.

The Concerned Holiday Party Guest

Dear Concerned Holiday Party Guest,

Getting dressed up for a potluck holiday party at your friends house or for a family holiday party is a piece of cake, but dressing up for an office holiday party is tough! You need something sophisticated and glamorous. Something that isn't too stuffy and too "9 to 5". Concerned Party Guest, I've got your back. Here are some tips and ideas to make you the most fashionable guest at your fancy office holiday party!

- Remember to stick to your work dress code even though the party is off-site. If your dress code at work is business casual, dress that way for the party.
- When you're getting dressed for the party, remember that your boss will be there! So don't wear anything that you wouldn't want your boss to see you in.
- When in doubt, wear black. You can never go wrong with a little black dress and some fun accessories.
- Make sure hemlines aren't too short!
- If you're looking in the mirror and asking yourself if you should wear tights with that, then you probably should!

I put together some run holiday outfits that are office party appropriate. Whether your party is at a fancy restaurant, in your offices cafeteria, or in the school gym.

Plaid Party

I am a lover of plaid. It's such a fun pattern and I especially love wearing plaid during the Holidays. I wore this dress to the office recently and I'm planning on wearing it throughout the Holiday season. The colors are really festive. I love the pleats at the bottom, it's adorable! I paired the dress with black booties. For a office Holiday party, I would add high heels and a fur vest so I'm extra toasty!

I scooped up this top at this really cute store in Austin - where I was for work a few weeks ago. I fell in love with practically everything! I finally decided on this dress - perfect for work and for the weekends.  Austin had a ton of cute little shops with the greatest clothes. I'll be sharing some of what I got in some upcoming posts!

I'm always stumped when it comes to deciding what to wear to an office Holiday party. Check out my Office Holiday Party outfit guide for some ideas! You're guaranteed to be the most stylish at your party.
