Pajama Party

Raise your hand if you're exhausted! I don't know if it's this dreary weather, lack of sunshine, or my crazy schedule, but I am SO. SLEEPY. I always try and get at least 6 hours of sleep every night, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. Things won't be calming down with life anytime soon either...

The solution? Wearing something comfortable yet edgy to the office. Say hello to my new dress from Loft. It can double as a pajama top too, haha. The best kinds of outfits are the versatile ones! This dress is great. I love that it has a little tie string - so you can show off your waist. I can't wait to wear this dress in the summer with strappy sandals, and big white sunglasses. I'm hoping that day comes soon!

Week old snow makes a gross backdrop for pictures! It's getting harder and harder to take outfit pictures since it's so cold outside. When I left the house this morning, it was ZERO degrees, guys. Crazy.

Thanks so much for reading and have a great week!

Cold Feet

My feet are always cold. Always. In NYC + NJ, we've been experiencing frigid temperatures below zero. There's also been a good amount of snow! It looks like spring isn't in sight. It's supposed to be cold all week. Hopefully, no more snow will come our way. I mean, snow is really pretty, but it's only fun when you're still in school and have a snow day. Like my little brother. He loves snow. Commuting to work in the winter is no fun. Luckily, these socks have been keeping me warm. I recently invested in a pair of camp socks from J. Crew and they've seriously been a life saver all winter.

I built this whole outfit around my socks. I'm obsessed with them. I wear them constantly. Looks like I need to invest in a few more pairs! I love showing these socks off so I made sure that they could be seen. If you're not as bold, wear them under boots!

Oh, for my hair - I put my hair in a low braid and tucked it into a headband.

Stay warm, my friends!

queen of hearts

I love dressing up for a good holiday. Like Valentines Day. I'm a major cornball and I always take it to the next level. Whether it be a bright red lip or a shirt with hearts all over it and a red dress. I had to wear my Valentines Day office outfit a day early, since Valentines Day falls on a weekend this year. This would be the perfect outfit to wear to work and then out to dinner.

So, I actually wore this dress on New Years Eve three years ago! I hate buying pieces for one time wear, so I decided to reinvent this dress for the holiday all about love. I added a red lip (obviously) and I was good to go. Office perfect and Valentines Day date appropriate!

What are your plans for Valentines Day? This year, my boyfriend and I are taking it easy. There's so much pressure for a fancy night out when all I really want to do is to eat burgers, drink wine, and binge watch Breaking Bad on Netflix. So that's exactly what we'll be doing. And I'll be wearing sweatpants :)

Happy Valentines Day!

Below Freezing

Is anyone else suffering from a FREEZING office? My office is just so cold. Most days, I wear my coat all day in the office. Until... I got this blanket scarf for my birthday! The solution to keeping warm in a chilly office and looking fabulous.

When I say this scarf is warm, I mean it! I was literally sweating in it. My brave soul even went out for lunch wearing just the scarf (and no coat). The blanket scarf is a winter staple. I love the colors and pattern on my scarf. It can pretty much be worn with anything. I've been wearing the scarf with dresses, jeans, leggings, etc! The best part is that you can use the scarf as a blanket too ;)

In a previous post, I had mentioned that one of my goals this year was to cut back on the shopping, reuse and reinvent pieces from my closet into new outfits. I previously wore the same skirt I'm wearing today, a few weeks ago - here

Hope you're all keeping warm!
