Sporty

The other night at book club, one of the girls brought a Fortune-Telling Book . It dates back to the 1930's and has a little fortune according to your birth date. It was really fun passing the book around and laughing about it. My fortune said I was an ardent reader, I'm bright, witty, entertaining, welcome to any social gathering, that I was a great lover, and that I loved sports. It's all pretty true. (I like to think that I'm welcome to any social gathering...) I do like to sit down and watch the occasional football or baseball game with my boyfriend (as long as there's snacks involved)... but what I really like is dressing sporty!

This J.Crew tee paired perfectly with this cotton skirt. This is an outfit that I just threw together one morning when I was running very late. I love the way it turned out! The finishing touch was a red lip. Red lipstick instantly adds chicness to any outfit.

Granny Pants

7/21/14

These are pants that my grandma would probably wear. And for good reason too. They're chic, comfy, and kept me cool on this humid day. The print is really fun too. When I say these pants are comfy... I mean it! I literally felt like I was wearing no pants all day. Oh, that would be the life, wouldn't it?

My dad told me I looked really tall the day I wore this outfit. Nude heels will always make you look taller. They create an illusion of longer legs. I knew I had to wear shoes that gave me height, especially since these pants have a lot of material that can look overwhelming on a small frame.

Neon Lights

This past few weeks have been tough. So, so stressful! I feel like I'm constantly working (at all three of my jobs!). Luckily, this weekend I was able to take a deep breath and finally enjoy a weekend off by hanging out outside and spending time with my friends and family.

Different people deal with stress different ways. How do I deal with it? By indulging in everything chocolate, eating a ton of french fries (my weakness), and dressing in bright colors! What better way to deal with the Monday blues than wearing a color that could stop traffic :) Hello, highlighter green!

This dress's material is a little on the heavier side, so I decided to wear it on a day that the temperature is on the cooler side. And by cooler, I mean ... like 80 degrees. I hear it's going to rain cats & dogs almost all week. Yuck. I'm not a fan of rain.. especially summer rain! Anyway, please excuse my weird pose in this picture. I think I was mid-jump!

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading! I've gotten almost 5,000 views in the past 5 months from all over the world! Thank you for all the positive feedback. A big special thank you to my wonderful photographer Jessi and all my friends & family who help my readership grow by sharing my blog on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. The support means the world to me!

Roman Holiday

7/7/14

Gladiator sandals & a flowy dress made for the perfect outfit for a 90 degree July day. When I say hot, I mean HOT. I literally was outside for 5 minutes to pick up some coffee and was pretty much drenched in sweat. Attractive, I know.

I love these sandals so much. At first, I was a little nervous about wearing them. Are they office appropriate? Are they a little too wild? Will they be uncomfortable?  When wearing gladiators to the office, I think it's best to stick to neutral colors! Outside of the office, I would play with bright colors or leopard print. Guys, I think I've found my new go-to summer shoe. I think my next purchase will be these - taking the trend to a whole new level!

Coming back to work after a holiday weekend is so tough. It literally took every ounce of energy to drag myself out of bed this morning. Is it Friday yet? :)

Meow!

Today I bring you : A little black dress with a twist! Every girl needs a LBD in her closet. I love this one because of the leopard collar. This dress, just like all LBD's can be accessorized many different ways. It can be dressed up or down, worn with sandals or heels - you can do whatever! This dress is actually a few years old, but it's been a closet staple of mine.

I look so silly in these pictures! Excuse my weird facial expressions. Anyway, I can't wait for this long weekend. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! I plan on celebrating by getting plenty of sun, eating lots of burgers and hot dogs, and spending time with the wonderful people in my life. Wishing you all a wonderful 4th of July!
